EER stands for Energy Efficiency Ratio. The higher the EER is, the more efficient the system is.
EER VALUES
EER is measured at 95 degrees outdoor air and 80 degrees indoor air for cooling systems running at steady-state -- that is, the efficiency of the air conditioner is assessed once it is up and running.
The EER values are more often used to assess the efficiency of commercial air conditioning systems.
