VFD stands for variable frequency drives.
VFD are being added to motors of air conditioning systems whether be it the motors of the fans of air handlers
or the motors of water pumps and allow those motors to run at only a percentage of their
full capacity when partial power of the system is sufficient to cool or heat the inhabited space.
The use of VFD is one way to comply with the new regulations which aim at reduce the
consumption of energy due to the use of air conditioning and heating.
But most importantly the implementation of VFDs results in major savings. The return on
